On September 11, when I walked into the Gongliu County Breeding Cooperative, neat rows of standardized breeding cages were arranged in an orderly manner, and the inside was ventilated everywhere. Layers lived in “air-conditioned rooms” and ate nutritious meals here. The noise and smell have also been reduced a lot, the chicken coop and factory area are quite clean, and the breeder is picking eggs from the flock.

This breeding cooperative was established in 2013 and covers an area of 15 mu. In recent years, the cooperative has introduced a series of automatic equipment such as automatic feeding machines and constant temperature machines to build automated chicken farms and use “smart mode” to raise laying hens.
The 15,000 chickens in the cooperative only need one person to manage, add food and water , lighting, temperature control, egg delivery, etc. can all be operated with one button. During the feeding process, employees only need to regularly observe the flock and check equipment, which not only saves labor and time costs, but also reduces the chance of contact between people and chickens, which not only ensures the growth and egg production of laying hens, but also reduces diseases risk of transmission.

The person in charge of the cooperative said: “The daily output is about one ton, and now the inside is basically fully automated, including room temperature, as well as fans, feeding machines, and chicken feeding are all automatic.”

During the epidemic, the relevant departments of Gongliu County cooperated with various parties to help the cooperative open up egg sales channels to ensure daily production and daily sales, and both production and sales are booming. At present, the cooperative produces about 1 ton of eggs per day, ensuring market demand and bringing substantial economic benefits.
Wang Liang, the person in charge of the cooperative: “Now we have enough chicken feed and egg trays for eggs. The eggs laid every day will be packed on time and provided to suppliers. There will be no shortage of goods.”
Over the years, the products supplied by the cooperative have won recognition from consumers for their excellent quality, laying a good foundation for the long-term development of the cooperative. In the next step, the cooperative plans to continue to expand the scale of breeding under the premise of focusing on quality, so as to achieve a breeding quantity of about 30,000 laying hens and enrich the consumer market.
