The fresh eggs under the chicken cage are slowly transported to the central egg delivery system along with the conveyor belt.

- “At present, there are six ‘chicken commanders’ like Mr. Gao.” Mr. Han, the person in charge of the company’s breeding project, said that there are currently six standardized chicken farm in the first phase of the project, each of which can store 80,000 laying hens.
- Behind this orderly chicken farm, it benefits from the current advanced fully automatic intelligent farming equipment. Here, the staff only need to “start with one button”, and a series of tasks such as feeding, water delivery, temperature control, ventilation, egg collection, and manure cleaning will start to run automatically. In this breeding space with as many as 80,000 chickens, there is no peculiar smell.
- “The intelligent ventilation system and the automatic chicken manure conveyor belt have helped us solve the manure and ventilation problems.” Mr. Du, the technical director of the company, said proudly. As the technical “commander-in-chief” of this modern farm, he knows every button like the back of his hand.
- “This system can automatically control the operation of the exhaust fan according to the temperature, smell, and humidity in the farm. The conveyor belt collects the chicken manure in time and sends it to the manure treatment workshop. After 15 days of fermentation, it can be used as organic fertilizer. Sales are carried out, thereby realizing resource recycling, efficient utilization, and fresh air.” Mr. Du said while operating the system.
At the terminal of the system, Mr. Han is instructing workers to pick and pack the green eggs that have just been delivered. As a native of Shandong, Mr. Han has been dealing with farming for more than ten years. He has raised sheep, cattle, and chickens, and has accumulated a lot of farming experience.
In 2020, with the strong support of the Qingdao Municipal Government, Mr. Han successfully joined hands with the “Millions of Green Laying Hens Fully Automated Breeding Project” through investment promotion.
He said that through the application of high-end equipment, the project has made the characteristic breeding industry move towards intelligence, intensification, and harmlessness, and has taken the first step in the innovative practice of rural revitalization driven by green industry and circular economy.
Mr. Han said that at present, the project has a stock of 480,000 laying hens, an annual output of 9,000 tons of organic fertilizer, and an annual output of more than 10,000 tons of eggs; the second phase of the project will build 5 new chicken houses, each of which can hold 120,000 laying hens. After the project is fully completed, the annual stock of chickens will reach more than 1 million chickens, and the daily output of fresh eggs will be 50 tons. It will become the largest laying hen breeding base in Shandong.
