(1)How to install wet curtains in chicken farms

Wet curtain, alias water curtain, honeycomb structure, is to use the unsaturation of air and the evaporation of water to absorb heat to cool down. The wet curtain device is generally divided into two categories, the water curtain wall plus negative pressure fan and the external independent wet curtain fan. The water curtain wall plus negative pressure fan is mainly used in the chicken house where the space is easy to be closed and the cooling requirements are high; the external independent wet curtain fan is suitable for the chicken house with low cooling requirements and not easy to be closed. At present, most chicken farms use water curtain wall and negative pressure fan. No matter what area you are in, the effect of using wet curtains to cool down is certain. However, if it cannot be installed and used reasonably, the effect will be greatly reduced. Ten points should be paid attention to in production:

1.The house should be as airtight as possible.

If you use wet curtains to cool down, you can’t open windows because of the high temperature in summer. If it is not sealed, negative pressure cannot be formed in the chicken house, the cold air passing through the wet curtain will be reduced, and the hot air outside the house will come in.

2.Reasonably determine the number of fans in the house and the area of the water curtain.

The number of fans and the area of the water curtain should be determined according to the local climate, conditions, chicken size, and stocking density; at the same time, it should be considered that after the wet curtain is used for a period of time, the effective air intake area will decrease. Therefore, when designing the wet curtain area Can be appropriately increased. In general, according to the calculation of raising 10,000 laying hens, if the average weight of the chicken is 1.8 kg, it needs to be equipped with a wet curtain of 25 meters 2 and 4 fans.

3.There must be a certain distance between the wet curtain and the chicken coop.

In order to prevent the cold wind from blowing directly on the chickens, it is recommended that the wet curtain and the chicken cage be separated by 2~3 meters. At the same time, leave an appropriate distance to ensure that the wet curtain is not damaged when transporting cleaning tools and egg collection trucks.

4.Control the opening time of the wet curtain.

Taking into account the need to save water and electricity and the actual cooling, generally choose to open the wet curtains from 13 to 16 every day.

5.Do a good job of checking the wet curtain before opening.

Before opening the wet curtains, check at least three aspects: 1. Check whether the fan is normal; 2. Check whether the corrugated fiber paper, water collector and water pipe are smooth and normal, and whether there is sediment accumulated; 3. Check whether the filter screen at the inlet of the submersible pump is not In good condition, there is no leakage in the water circulation system.
